Committee at Work? and Family PicturesThe 50-year Reunion Committee has been meeting for nearly a year putting together three events for your enjoyment on June 6, 7 & 8, 2008. We have to question whether we're meeting to conduct business or just have a good time. Actually we're doing a lot of both!

Emmaus High School in 2008See how much our High School has changed over the years. The school board has acquired property on Route 100 to build a second high school sometime in the near future!
Classmates gather for tour of High School. 1 of 16Looking across the back of the high school towards what was the swimming pool and locker rooms! 2 of 16Looking at the back side of what used to be the Junior High School, but has been connected to and has become the High School and School District Administrative Offices. 3 of 16Banners adorn all lighting standards. 4 of 16What used to be the Junior High School!!! 5 of 16Now we're getting to a portion you can almost recognize as being there back in 1958 - if you have a good imagination! 6 of 16This is the main entrance to the high school now. This was created when the High School and Junior High School were combined into one giant High School! 7 of 16Can you remember the large grassy area between North Street and the building? Bus loading/unloading area and partial parking lot now! 8 of 16We finally get to see a portion of the building auditorium that hasn't changed much from 1958. At least the stage end of the auditorium hasn't changed much except for a band room addition. 9 of 16And this is where the main entrance used to be!!! Main bus entrance now. 10 of 16An electronic billboard for announcements and congratulations to state champions (remember we're the 1958 Lehigh Valley League Basketball Champions!) 11 of 16Two flagpoles today instead of just one. Lighted at night so we don't have to take the flag down at the end of each day. Progress!?! 12 of 16Do you remember the parking lot with the pin oak trees? Just can't remember all the buildings in the background? What happened to the large open entrance to the gym? Would you believe that's where the swimming pool is now?!? And tennis courts, an artifial turf hockey field where the ball diamond and practice football field used to be?!? 13 of 16The original bus entrance on Macungie Avenue! 14 of 16Remember the 6-8 foot high snow at the entrance to the old solarium? Check out your 1958 Tattler on page 85 if your memory has faded. 15 of 16A few additional buildings, new lights, new press box and a few other changes at the stadium. But still natural grass! What? You can't tell from this picture?!? 16 of 16
